Whether you're new to Wilton Baptist Church, exploring faith or looking for community, these questions will help plan your next visit

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are the Wilton Church services held?

Our services are held at the Wilton Community Centre (20 Broughton Street, Wilton).

How often will the Wilton Church service be held?

Every third Sunday of the month. Our church services start from Sunday 19 July at 5.00pm.

How long does the service go for?

Our Sunday services run for 60 minutes followed by tea, coffee and an opportunity to connect with others.

What should I expect at the church service?

Our services are relaxed, welcoming and centred on Jesus. You'll enjoy contemporary worship music, a practical Bible message from Pastor Alex, and a time of prayer and reflection. Tea and coffee are available before and after the service, providing a great opportunity to connect with others and build community. There's also plenty of free parking at the Wilton Community Centre.

Who leads the Wilton Baptist Church?

Wilton Baptist Church is led by Pastor Alex and a dedicated team of volunteers who are passionate about serving the Wilton community and introducing people to Jesus.

Is there a Kids Program and Creche?

As we establish our church community in Wilton, we'll be taking time to understand the needs of local families before introducing age-appropriate children's programs. In the meantime, children are warmly welcome to stay in the service, and we'll have activity and colouring packs available to help keep little ones engaged.

What is the purpose of Wilton Baptist Church?

Our purpose is to introduce our community to Jesus as we care, learn, and celebrate together.

Do I need to be a Christian to attend?

Not at all. Whether you're exploring faith, returning to church after many years or simply curious, you're warmly welcome to come along and see what we're about.

What should I wear?

Whatever you're comfortable in! Most people dress casually, so come as you are.

Will I be asked to give money?

No. There is no expectation for visitors to give financially. If you choose to support the ministry, there will be an opportunity to do so, but your presence is the greatest gift.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely! Many people attend on their own. Our team will be happy to welcome you and help you feel at home.

Is the church accessible?

Yes. The Wilton Community Centre provides accessible entry and facilities for those with mobility needs.

Can I bring my children into the service?

Absolutely! We love having children with us and encourage families to worship together. Activity packs are available to help keep little ones engaged during the service, and once we've assessed the needs of the Wilton community, we'll introduce age-appropriate children's programs.

How can I stay connected with upcoming events?

Follow us on social media or chat with one of our team after a service to learn more about upcoming gatherings, Bible studies and community events.

Can I request prayer or pastoral support?

Yes. We'd love to pray with you and support you through life's joys and challenges. Simply speak with Pastor Alex or one of our team after the service.

Does the church hold a regular bible study?

Yes. Every Monday fortnight at 7.30pm, we meet at The Sanctuary:Wilton Baptist Church (60 Condell Park Road, Wilton).

Does the church hold other events?

Yes, each fortnight we hold a Men's Fire Night at The Sanctuary:Wilton Baptist Church (60 Condell Park Road, Wilton). These events are 18+ and designed to create a space for men to share real stories and create real connections.
